The

Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for lead generation, cold calling, and supporting the outside sales team to drive new business growth and brand awareness for TNDD. This role is designed as an entry point into outside sales, with opportunities for professional growth through hands-on industry training, sales shadowing, and technical exposure.


This is not a remote position and is required to work on site. A valid driver’s license is required.


Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:


. Lead Generation and Prospecting .


o Perform daily cold outreach via:


§ Phone calls to prospects to schedule appointments and site visits, introduce TNDD’s services, and identify opportunities for PM contracts and T&M repair estimates.


§ Door-to-door site visits to collect site demographics, identify key decision-makers, and gather contact details (phone, email).


o Use tools such as Google Maps, CoStar, Atlanta Book of Lists, and other platforms to generate and research prospects.


o Maintain detailed records of all site visits including:


§ Site address


§ Site contact


§ Number of docks and doors


§ Manufacturer/equipment identification (when available)


. Sales Support and Industry Exposure .


o Participate in ride-alongs with TNDD Sales Representatives to attend customer meetings, site visits, and job site checks.


o Assist in collecting site information during large-scale visits to support and expedite the quoting process.


. Networking and Brand Visibility .


o Represent TNDD at networking events such as BOMA happy hours, educational seminars, tradeshows, and industry events to build relationships and increase brand visibility.


. Internal Sales Support .


o Assist the Inside Sales team in generating quotes for end-user customers, particularly during peak demand periods.


· Work closely with team members and other departments.

  • Team Collaboration: Works well across departments - coordinating with sales team and project managers, field technicians, warehouse associates, and leadership.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurately enter data, recognize discrepancies and ensure documentation is complete and precise.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Open to changing priorities and responsive to the dynamic nature of the role.
  • Professionalism and Discretion: Maintains a professional demeanor and exercises sound judgment in handling confidential customer and operational information.


Qualifications


Education*: High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles. Preference may be given to those with experience in a construction, industrial or commercial services environment.*
  • Prior experience in B2B service industries or construction-related sectors is a plus.
Familiarity with dock and door systems, mechanical equipment, or facility services is a plus.*
  • Technical Skills:


o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite


o Familiarity with CRM systems


o Capable and efficient using online research tools


  • Additional Requirements:


o Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team


o Must be authorized to work in the U.S.


o

Valid driver’s license is required


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to:


· Remain in a stationary position - often standing or sitting for prolonged periods; communicating with others to exchange information; repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers; moving about to accomplish tasks; talking; hearing; seeing; eye, hand, foot coordination.


· For site visits - walking/standing: Stand and walk for extended periods, including traversing uneven terrain and walking several blocks; may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain), and loud noises; must wear appropriate PPE (including but not limited to a hard hat and safety glasses) during site visits.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


Ability to work in a typical office environment. Occasionally it may be required to assist with light lifting or walking to different departments throughout the office in addition to an occasional work site visit, requiring light travel (within a day’s commute) for job site checks and to meet with customers or clients. Site visits will require both indoor and outdoor visits where weather conditions and exposure could be variable - heat, cold, humidity, precipitation. Walking on uneven surfaces may be required on occasion and there may be exposure to loud noises.
