Employees in this classification are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students attending Taylor County Public Schools.
+ Obey all traffic laws
+ Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
+ Maintains discipline when students are on the bus
+ Keeps assigned bus clean
+ Keeps to assigned schedule
+ Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects
+ Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness
+ Discharges students only at authorized stops
+ Exercises responsible leadership when on extra-curricular school trips
+ Transports only authorized students
+ Reports all accidents and completes required reports
+ Enforces regulations agains smoking and eating on the bus
+ Uses tire chains when roads are icy;must be able to put chains on own bus
+ Performs other such tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the superintendent or immediate supervison my assign.
