Position Summary: The Branch Operations Resource Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the operational integrity of our retail branch operations across the footprint. This role will maintain a collaborative streamlined work environment between Retail Branch Operations, Deposit Operations, Loan Operations, Audit, Compliance, and L&D teams. This role focuses on ensuring adherence to consistent branch operational internal controls, regulatory compliance standards, security measures, and maintaining a customer centric experience by promoting high quality personalized service. The Branch Operations Resource Manager will prioritize standardized teller branch operating procedures and building out a framework with consistent expectations of frontline operations across the footprint, upholding the highest level of operational integrity and customer excellence.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Leadership: Providing guidance, resources, support, and training. Build cross functional partnerships to develop and drive bank decisions.
  • Process Optimization: Develop, streamline, and optimize processes and procedures, focusing on compliance, branch cash controls, security, efficiency, accuracy, and enhancing internal and external customer service.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, privacy policies, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Oversee and implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions and documentation.
  • Risk Management: Manage compliance risks, branch control cash risk, security risk, fraud loss risk, identifying trends and mitigating potential issues.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for frontline Retail Team to enhance their skills, knowledge, and confidence.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all areas of the bank, to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to branch operational integrity, customer experience, and bank initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee the integration and utilization of technology systems for efficient branch teller operations and retail processing and reporting.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and distribute reports on branch operational compliance, audit, security trends for analysis and decision making.


Education and Experience:


  • Three (3) or more years of retail bank management.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive retail banking/branch operations experience required.
  • Three (3) or more years experience and knowledge with retail bank branch controls, bank regulatory requirements, bank security protocol, leading frontline teller operations required.
  • Bachelor�s degree in finance, accounting, or related fields is preferred, or equivalent working experience.

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


Regulatory Standards:Financial Institutions must adopt and comply with regulatory requirements. All employees of Unity Bank are required to comply with these standards and practices. Employees will be responsible for participation in training sessions for these regulatory compliance requirements. This will be offered through online sessions, department meetings, bank wide training, and other such media. In addition, compliance training that is specific to job responsibilities will be conducted. Any employee that knowingly fails to comply with the requirements, as outlined in the Compliance Manual and the related guidelines may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
