This position serves as a trainer for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and reports directly to the Director of Learning and Development . The purpose of this position is to deliver interactive, experiential training programs for BMV/C employees, partners, and customers of the Agency; courses will include technical, blended learning, web-based, and soft skills training.

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00.

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

• Prepare and deliver both technical and soft skills training programs for BMV/C employees, partners, and customers. Delivery methodology may vary based on customer need.
  
• Prepare and deliver technical and soft skills online training programs including blended learning, instructor-led distance learning, recorded or LIVE virtual platforms, webinars, podcasts serving as moderator/instructor as needed or assigned.
  
• Consult with agency personnel and subject matter experts on various training matters, interpreting and reviewing training needs, and developing training. Seek appropriate help/guidance from agency resources as needed.
  
• Design and develop lesson plans, objectives, courses, and any/all materials necessary for delivery training. Aligning resources as needed for delivery.
  
• Serve as an agency resource for technical questions related to training programs; may also serve as resource for outside vendor training coordination.
  
• Revise training materials as necessary after reviewing evaluations of individual courses.
  
• Maintain awareness of current and future training procedures, methods, and trends through seminars, webinars, virtual learning, and lectures.
  
• Use the Statewide Training platform (SuccessFactors) to guide work and measure progress when applicable.
  
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by Director of Learning and Development or other management staff of Learning and Development.
  

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work.

The ideal candidate in this role should minimally have:

• Thorough knowledge of best practices in development and implementation of adult education programs.
  
• Advanced knowledge of general psychology or education with advanced knowledge of adult learning principles used to teach individuals and groups by conveying information using multiple techniques, methods, and technologies, to facilitate the transfer of learning, motivation, and evaluation.
  
• At least two years of experience working in Learning Management Systems (LMS) or SuccessFactors.
  
• At least two years� experience working in a field requiring training program goal setting and managing priorities.
  
• Ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables; research and apply general training concepts and gather data and information for use in training programs, planning for training needs, and evaluating program effectiveness.
  
• Demonstrated ability to assemble training materials including writing and assembling texts, developing content to be delivered virtually, and developing professional presentations.
  
• Ability to keep current on new trends, philosophies, and available materials regarding adult education.
  
• Experience in management (i.e., human resource training and development, containing an introduction to behavioral concepts and organization practices relating to training.
  
• Effective in establishing and maintaining productive and positive working relationships with team members and others-internal and external to the organization and with all levels of employees.
  
• Ability to test new processes with the capacity to identify problems prior to agency-wide implementation.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members, field counterparts and Agency Leadership.
  
• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and able to manage their own workload effectively. Often working independently.
