Derby City Hospitality is a fast paced, family-owned hotel development and management company with a growing portfolio of limited service hotels across Kentucky! We are now accepting applications for Bartenders / Mixologists for our newly opening SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Frankfort, KY.
As a bartender, you will be responsible for providing high quality service to all guests, creating personal connections through friendly conversations, intuitive suggestions, and engaging surroundings.
The responsibilities as a bartender, include:
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes. Accurately answer any guest questions.
- Food prep for select food menu available for purchase.
- Maintain high cleaning standards of the bar, back of house kitchen, and do daily cleaning and side work.
- Ensure guest satisfaction with food and beverage quality and presentation.
- Process all payment methods and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
- Promote teamwork and contribute to creating a friendly and safe work environment.
- ID all guests and monitor beverage consumption as to not over serve.
- Ensure all stock is up to par levels.
- Completes daily inventory and informs manager of any changes.
- A bartender will have an outgoing and social personality.
- An eye for detail.
- A passion for service with a positive, can-do attitude.
- A team-player mindset.
- Previous restaurant, bar, or customer service experience.
- The ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods of time. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, beer and spirits is required.
- Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $23.33 per hour
