Shift: Rotating,Weekend
The bartender will be responsible for maintaining the bar area and serving its patrons. As such the bartender should have familiarity with a wide range of drink recipes and a personable and attentive demeanor. In addition to taking drink orders, it will be the bartender’s responsibility to ensure that the bar and tables are kept clean, and that the liquor room is kept in order.
- Takes beverage orders from patrons directly or serving staff
- Mix and serve drinks - which may include wines, bottled or draft beer, spirits or mixed drinks - directly or through wait staff
- Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Collect money for drinks served
- Check identification of customers in order to verify patrons are of legal age to purchase and consume alcohol
- Balance cash receipts
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers� excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, ordering taxis and if necessary informing security
- Cleans glasses, utensils and bar equipment
- Cleans bar, work areas and tables
- Serve snacks (when available) to customers seated at the bar
- Provides recommendations for liquor and supply orders taking into consideration factors such as costs and special needs events
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Create drink recipes
- Maintains inventory and cleanliness of liquor room, in addition to rotation of stock
- Bartender License, a plus
- At least 2 years of experience as a Bartender
