Barista/Cashier

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to food safety standards.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care.
  
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
  
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
  
• Adhere to food safety guidelines in all aspects of food handling and preparation.
  
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
  
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales while ensuring customers receive the best experience possible.
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions accurately.
  

• Previous barista experience or coffee-related experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  
• Familiarity with food service practices, including food preparation and handling standards.
  
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
  
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters positive interactions with customers.
  
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.01 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 38 per week
