Barista/Cashier

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every beverage is crafted to perfection. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in maintaining the café's atmosphere and providing outstanding service while adhering to food safety standards.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care.
  
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation spaces and equipment.
  
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices at all times.
  
• Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
  
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
  
• Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and cash handling duties.
  

• Previous barista experience or strong background in the food service industry is preferred.
  
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of various coffee types is highly desirable.
  
• Proficient in time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
  
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
  
• Experience with POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
  
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to food preparation and handling is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
