Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation systems, including experience with hydraulics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial maintenance. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and electrical expertise to ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing processes and equipment. The Automation Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing automation systems while providing exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities


  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of automation systems, including PLCs and distributed control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensors, calibration, and vision inspection systems.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and ohmmeters for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and wiring configurations.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on high voltage and low voltage electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements in manufacturing processes using AutoCAD for design modifications.
  • Provide field service support as needed, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance metrics.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience as an Automation Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical principles, and industrial maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery and programming is a plus.
  • Experience with E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) is preferred.
  • Ability to work with various sensors and vision inspection systems effectively.
  • Military experience in a technical field is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical personnel.
