Associate Director of Growth
Groves Literacy Partnerships | Full-Time | Remote + Field-Based | Reports to: VP of GLP
About Groves Literacy Partnerships

Groves Literacy Partnerships (GLP) is a division of Groves Learning Organization that partners with schools to improve literacy outcomes, especially for students who have been historically underserved by traditional systems. We offer professional learning, instructional coaching, evidence-based curriculum, and data-driven support, all grounded in the science of reading and shaped by real classroom experience. We believe literacy is liberation. Our job is to work within complex systems to create change that reaches every child.

About the Role

The Associate Director for Growth is responsible for expanding GLP’s impact by building new school and district partnerships across Minnesota and beyond. This is a mission-driven growth role. You’ll report directly to the VP of GLP and work alongside internal teams to identify strong-fit partners, build trust with decision-makers, and guide them through a thoughtful, strategic partnership process. Your focus is new relationships, new systems, and new opportunities to deliver real results for kids. You’ll need to be comfortable navigating public education systems, working across lines of authority, and translating complex ideas into practical solutions. You’re not here to maintain what already exists. You’re here to move it forward.

  • Use tools like HubSpot to track leads, manage your pipeline, and forecast accurately.
  • Tailor proposals and presentations to each partners context, ensuring alignment between their goals and GLPs offerings.

Strategic Communication
  • Share our impact with clarity and credibility, whether through a pitch deck, a school visit, or a budget meeting.
  • Represent GLP at conferences, convenings, and in partner-facing conversations with professionalism and purpose.
  • Translate partner questions and field trends into actionable feedback for internal teams.

Collaboration & Support
  • Work directly with the VP of GLP and other senior leaders to shape growth strategy and refine our approach.
  • Support Advancement efforts by informing funder strategy-without taking on fundraising as part of your direct scope.
  • Coordinate with implementation, communications, and curriculum teams to ensure smooth partner handoffs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in education, nonprofit strategy, public-sector partnerships, or mission-aligned business development.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 systems, including how instructional decisions get made and funded.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal, with the ability to lead conversations and build trust.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage a high volume of partner activity with care and consistency.
  • Deep commitment to educational equity and better outcomes for all learners.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with structured literacy or the science of reading.
  • Experience in Title I or high-needs schools, or systems-level education work.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) and comfort presenting to executive audiences.
  • Ability to bring both strategic thinking and on-the-ground practicality to your work.
