Appear daily in Housing court on behalf of Landlord clients.
Draft and argue motions, including Order to Show Cause applications and post judgement enforcement
Perform legal research and develop case strategy with partners,
Manage a caseload with attention to deadlines and detail
Communicate effectively with clients, court staff and opposing council.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice in New York
At least 1 years of experience in Landlord-Tenant law
Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and meet court and internal deadlines
Proficiency in legal research and case management
Proven research and analytical skills.
Experience negotiating stipulations of settlements.
Familiarity with NYC Housing Court practice in all five boroughs
Knowledge of rent regulation, nonpayment, holdover, and HPD proceedings
