Summary:


The Assisted Living Director is responsible for directing daily operations of the assisted living community including personnel, fiscal and other management. Assures compliance with regulatory and professional standards, planning and business development activities for operation success. The Assisted Living Director demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills and understands the unique aspects of the residents served.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Provide care to the residents of the Assisted Living Home and tasks as ordered including, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for directing daily operations of assisted living community.
  • Responsible for all regulatory and professional standards, planning and business development activities for operational success.
  • Responsible for monthly billing and rent, and ensures various other charges are applied to resident invoices. Responsible for marketing efforts, assists in touring potential new residents and families.
  • Responsible for admission of new residents, and coordination with other departments for successful move in to facility.
  • Receives monthly rent checks, enters monies into accounting database, deposits funds to bank and handles/monitors ACH direct withdrawals from resident banking accounts.
  • Ensures that residents� Long-Term Care Insurance accounts are successfully maintained.
  • Facilitates monthly in-service and continuing education for staff as required by state regulations.
  • Subject to on-call hours in the event of staff call in or vacancy, emergency, weather or otherwise. Responsible for filling-in in event of staff call in. Required to participate in on call rotation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested. The organization reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
  • The Assisted Living Director will function as the Resident Manager and live on premises
  • Assist Residents with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times the Resident�s independence.
  • Assist with the admission of new residents which may include admission assessments and documentation
  • Maintains all required certifications required for employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:


  • Minimum three years� experience in assisted living environment with focus on operations and or clinical oversight.
  • Experience providing nursing care to similar populations will be considered. Experience in senior care or related fields.
  • Administration or management degree preferred.


Certification/Licensure:

  • Current Alaska Nurse License (LPN or RN)
  • Current BLS Certification


Computer Skills:


Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Evaluate and oversee care of residents provided by other Assisted Living Home staff including but not limited to Assisted Living Clinical Supervisor, Elder Care Specialists, Lead Elder Care Specialists, and Certified Nursing Assistants
