Delta Engineers, Architects, & Surveyors (Delta) is a multidisciplinary AEC firm founded in upstate New York in 1976. WHO WE NEED


We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Assistant Engineerin the Mechanical Group at our Endwell, NY office. This is an entry level position. The Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience preferred but not required. An EIT is preferred but not required. Experience with REVIT is highly preferred. The primary duties associated with this position include:


  • Performing work which involves conventional and/or complex types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Solving engineering problems using thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer to design water, wastewater, hydronic, and gaseous piping and duct work.
  • Becoming proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, Revit, AutoCAD, and other group software.
  • Preparing or assisting in the preparation of engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
  • Attending and/or leading client meetings/presentations (daytime or evenings).
  • Communicating with client representatives, contractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Serving on field inspection teams.
  • Developing quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.
  • Participating in site visits/inspections/documentation during construction.


Delta is driven to exceed our clients’ expectations on every project. Accordingly, the successful applicant for this position must be willing to occasionally work adjusted hours/overtime.


WHAT WE OFFER


Hiring Salary Range: $64,000-$79,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities along with an internal equity and alignment with market area data.)
