- Work closely with the Head Gardener to ensure workflow is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
- Provide training and direction to employees in the field.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs.
- Assess IPM (Integrated Pest Management) issues and recommend solutions; knowledge of pest treatments is preferred.
- Perform tasks independently on most properties, with familiarity and understanding of property needs.
- Prune woody shrubs and trees as needed.
- Communicate with the Head Gardener regarding task timelines and progress.
- Identify gaps in crew training and address them proactively.
- Operate equipment such as trailers and tractors confidently for farm tasks.
- 3+ years of gardening experience and leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plant care and gardening techniques.
- Valid driver�s license.
- $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
