-FOH Assistant Manager


Our business is Alaskan-born and raised, built with our own hands, and proven with 18+ successful years of crafting excellent experiences for guests. We are a 98% scratch kitchen and dinner-only establishment owned and operated by people who like being restauranteurs.


Purpose of the Position: Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation related to restaurant operations.


Specific Tasks & Duties of FOH Assistant Manager:


  • Day-to-day operations of the restaurant, along with opening and closing responsibilities
  • Set standards of service and food production and enforce those standards consistently
  • Daily Voicemail Management of all phone lines
  • Documentation in manager logs as necessary
  • Management of FOH staffing, call-outs, and coverage
  • Holding your co-workers to the highest standards and setting a professional example
  • Support of your fellow managers
  • Current operations, strategic planning, and execution of changes/developments/expansions
  • Assistance with inventory, ordering, and receiving of liquor needs
  • Adherence to statutes, service standards
  • Attend managerial staff meetings


Requirements:


  • The ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with various personalities and cultures, and always with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to stand for up to 9 hours.
  • Ability to work approximately 40-50 hours per week (unless hired on a �Part-Time†basis).
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to bend, lift boxes, fold linen, push carts, and climb stairs.
  • Willing to work extra hours, various shifts, split shifts, and on holidays and weekends.
  • CPR and/or First Aid training is desirable.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the guests.
  • Have knowledge of sequence of service, food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house experience and/or assistant management positions.
  • Possess basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  • Must complete TAM training and ServSafe training or other food safety training as required.
  • Must be able to follow safe operating procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
