Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate preschool and daycare Assistant Director to help lead our early childhood education program and support the needs of classrooms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education administration and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and be a person who can run the school age, school year and summer camp program. This role is crucial in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners while ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for children.
  • Develop and implement educational programs that align with developmental milestones and state standards for the school age program.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring of staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere focused on professional growth.
  • Engage with parents and the community to promote the center's mission and values, facilitating open communication regarding children's progress.
  • Conduct regular assessments of educational programs and staff performance, implementing strategic planning for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health/safety standards.


Skills


  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in education administration.
  • Strong skill set in classroom management, event coordination and planning
  • Excellent strategic planning skills to enhance program effectiveness and growth.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams while fostering an inclusive environment for both staff and students.
  • A degree from a recognized university in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Passionate about educating young children and committed to their holistic development.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour


Expected hours: 40 per week
