United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island (UCPRI) is looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and dependable individuals to aid our Lead Teachers in providing art classes in a hospital setting.
- Art, arts and crafts knowledge and experience.
- Experience with people with developmental disabilities and/or dementia in the hospital setting.
- Reliable transportation.
- A positive, organized, and professional attitude.
United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island strives to provide the most comprehensive supports for each child, adult, and family in the UCPRI community. We provide a range of services for individuals with disabilities and their families in the Rhode Island area.
Our Adaptive Arts Program offers an avenue for people with disabilities to express their creativity through classes in drawing, painting, and art jewelry/accessories. All of the artwork that is produced is for sale, with 100% of the sale price from original works going directly to the artist that created it. 25% of the sale price from reproductions go to the artist, while the remaining funds go to purchase art materials to support the program.
