Assembler II - Flex - 1st shift - VDC

Support the manufacturing process by assembling semi-complex components into finished goods in a repetitive manner at the Vidalia, GA location.

1. Works safely in accordance with the Safety Policies

2. Work multiple jobs both within and outside of assigned work area.

3. Operate machinery, presses and tools used in the production process

4. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifts

5. Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and carts

6. Hang and unhang parts from machines, conveyors, and carts

7. Braze as detailed on method sheets and assembly diagrams

8. Build components used in the production process

9. Observe equipment operation in order to detect malfunctions

10. Ensure customer and quality system compliance in areas of responsibility by conducting quality checks/tests and examining products

11. Participate in lean manufacturing as well as plant initiatives as needed

• Ability to speak, read and write English, understand simple written or oral instructions
  

• Minimum of 2+ years manufacturing experience
  

• Ability to train others
  

• Ability to work in a team environment
  

• Work any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure production demands are realized
  

• Use all required safety gear and equipment
  

• Comply with all established Plant rules and policies
  

• Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Refer to Attendance & Punctuality Policy for complete guidelines
  

• Must follow dress code at all times
  

• Able to use power, pneumatic, and hand tools
  

• Able to work on various machines and presses
  

• Ability to train others
  

• Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3�s of work shift
  

• Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist
  

• Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day
  

• Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3�s of work shift
  

• Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day
  

• Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day
  

• Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions
  

• Basic visual requirements for precision work
  

• Moderate physical exertion
