Android Field Surveyor - Rota, Northern Mariana Islands

We are currently hiring part-time surveyors who are based in or can travel within Rota, Northern Mariana Islands (U.S. Territory).

Applicants must be physically present in Rota and able to perform tasks onsite.

We’re looking for reliable part-time freelancers to help with an IoT Network Survey Project. This is a walking-based task that involves collecting mobile network and WiFi data using Android apps.

This is a freelance job paid through Upwork. You must have or be willing to create an Upwork account.

• $400/month for completing 40 hours
  
• Option to extend up to 80 hours/month = $800
  
• Bonus pay for verified public WiFi data
  

• Just reach 40 hours at your convenience
  
• No fixed working hours
  

• Walk around assigned zones in Rota with two Android apps running in the background
  
• Perform basic traceroute and ping tests (mostly automated)
  
• Connect to public WiFi (cafés, shops, etc.) when available for speed tests
  
• No customer interaction. This is an independent and solo task
  

• Must own an Android phone (required apps are not available on iOS)
  
• Must have or be willing to create an Upwork account for contract and payment

• Able to follow instructions independently
  
• Understands and speaks basic English

• Ping & Net App - Used to run ping/speed tests on public WiFi
