Ben Bellucci Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Cheer Coach to lead after-school cheer sessions for elementary school kids in
Laurel, MD. We're seeking someone with a strong cheer background who genuinely enjoys working with children and can foster a positive, encouraging, and fun environment.- Lead fun and structured cheer sessions appropriate for young learners
- Teach foundational cheer skills including motions, chants, jumps, and basic stunts
- Introduce simple routines and team-building exercises
- Ensure a safe and welcoming space for all participants
- Design weekly lesson plans suited to different age and experience levels
- Encourage confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Maintain communication with parents, school staff, and students
- Offer helpful and supportive feedback to promote growth
- Prepare materials before class and tidy up afterward
- Adhere to safety protocols and child supervision standards
- Previous experience working with kids in cheer, dance, or a related sport
- Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques and instruction
- Positive, energetic, and approachable personality
- Ability to break down and teach skills in a clear and fun way
- Willingness to work with students of all experience levels
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
- $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
