About the Department
The Section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Surgery is part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Urogynecology team provides a personalized and integrated patient care experience across 6 fully equipped clinical sites to allow women with pelvic floor disorders world class Urogynecologic care close to their homes. The Section includes 6 board certified Urogynecologic Surgeons and 4 advanced practiced providers who work collaboratively to care for women with pelvic floor disorders. Teaching, research, and the highest quality clinical care are top priorities for the Section. Uro-gynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the UC Medicine offer patient’s participation in innovative clinical research trials.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated APP candidate to support our Uro Gynecology physicians in the Hyde Park area as well as other off-site locations. This person will jointly support patients with pelvic floor disorders and be the primary provider for patients who desire non-surgical management of their urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. The individual will perform office procedures independently such as: pessary fittings, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, cystoscopies, and urodynamics as well as assist the surgeon in the operating room. In addition, this individual will work collaboratively with other advanced practice providers, fellows, and nurses to teach and prepare patients for surgery.
Responsibilities* Independently sees patients in Hyde Park and offsite clinics, administers, orders, and interprets diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds, CT scans, and laboratory tests.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree from an accredited school/college.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through a combination of education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a related job discipline.
Certifications:
Current and/or eligible for State of Illinois licensure/registration required. Eligibility to be privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO). - State of Illinois

Preferred Qualifications
Education:* Advanced nursing degree from an accredited school/college of nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
Experience:* Two years’ experience preferred in OB/GYN, surgical specialty, or urology-gynecology.
Licenses and Certifications:* Current Physician Assistant (PA) license/registration in the State of Illinois or eligibility to receive by start date.
Preferred Competencies* Organization.
Working Conditions* Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
