- Develop, organize, and lead daily recreational activities and programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
- Assess the interests and needs of residents through regular communication and feedback to tailor activities that are engaging and enjoyable. Coordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrations, ensuring a diverse and appealing calendar of activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate activities that complement the residents' care plans.
- Maintain and manage activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are available and in good condition.
- Create and distribute monthly activity calendars and newsletters to residents and their families. Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers, fostering a supportive and enthusiastic team environment.
- Monitor and document residents' participation and progress, adjusting programs as needed to ensure maximum benefit.Promote activities through various channels, including facility newslet ters, social media, and family meetings.Stay informed about current trends and best practices in senior activities and recreational therapy.
