Accounting Clerk/Accounts Payable

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, while also supporting overall accounting functions.

• Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
  
• Conduct daily audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
  
• Maintain vendor records to ensure that account information is accurate and up to date.
  
• Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly/monthly payment runs.
  
• Collaborate with various departments to verify and resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
  
• Prepare and review reports related to accounts payable activities.
  
• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including reconciliations of accounts payable to the general ledger.
  
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments, account status, and related issues.
  
• Support audits by providing documentation and information as required.
  
• Maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus, or three years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  
• Previous experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Organizational skills with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  
• Must have a South Dakota gaming license or be able to obtain one upon hire.
  

• This position typically operates in an office environment.
  
• Standard working hours apply, with potential for overtime during peak periods.
