Oakbrook Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced

Accountant to help maintain the financial health of our diverse real estate portfolio. You'll collaborate with professionals who value precision, partnership, and problem-solving.


What You'll Do


As an Oakbrook Accountant, you'll oversee financial reporting and analysis for residential and commercial properties. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Preparing monthly financial statements with variance analysis (GAAP-compliant)
  • Performing general ledger reviews and bank reconciliations
  • Booking accruals and adjusting entries for accurate month-end close
  • Reviewing invoices and coding expenses to the correct properties
  • Monitoring cash balances, capital calls, and distributions
  • Supporting budgets, audits, and tax preparation
  • Maintaining property-level reporting packages
  • Partnering with property managers and owners for timely, accurate financials
  • Using MRI and Excel to extract data, build reports, and solve problems

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (property/real estate preferred)
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
