We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in financial software.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations.
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries regarding payments.
- Utilize financial software such as Quicken, UltiPro, and Kronos to manage accounts payable functions efficiently.
- Assist in month-end closing processes by providing necessary reports and documentation.
- Support audits by providing requested information related to accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, particularly Quicken, UltiPro, and Kronos.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and SOX compliance requirements.
- Experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Ability to perform journal entries accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
