The Creative Partners Group (The CPG), by MPG, is a comprehensive retail solutions company. The CPG represents established and emerging brands across all categories of merchandise and provides acclaimed services that build brands and businesses. Deep Dive is an entity of The CPG, which provides category management and analytics as the foundation and to further fuel growth. This is a hybrid role based in Minneapolis, MN.


Position Overview

You will excel as an Account Manager if you are able to provide the best service to our clients through exceptional communication, top notch problem solving skills, and the ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

------------------------


  • Analyzes sales data on a weekly basis and reports highlights, concerns, and trends to Vendor Partners.
  • Proactively identifies sales trends and new opportunities for Vendor Partners.
  • Manages collaborative forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking for new items, TPCs, and special events.
  • Monitors inventory positions and ensures proper execution by tracking purchase orders and confirming on-time, complete shipments.
  • Attends weekly and/or monthly meetings with Target Buyers and Inventory Analysts to discuss business opportunities and concerns.
  • Provides meeting recaps to Vendor Partners and the Target team, outlining action plans and next steps.
  • Oversees item setup and ongoing maintenance for Vendor Partners.
  • Researches and resolves chargebacks and accounts payable issues on behalf of Vendor Partners.
  • Supports packaging and quality processes for Target�s Owned Brand vendors.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity by asking thoughtful questions and proposing solutions to drive the business forward.
  • Takes initiative and follows through on tasks that support business success.
  • Maintains ownership of assigned business areas, contributing directly to key decisions and initiatives.
  • Builds and manages strong relationships with both vendor and retail partners.


Required Experience and Education

  • Target experience required
  • Bachelor�s degree required
  • Must be based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area (minimum of 1 day in office per week)
  • Experience with Target systems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on driving results
  • Intellectual curiosity to ask thoughtful questions and develop business solutions
  • Clear, concise, and timely communication skills
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and proactively anticipates team and business needs
  • Uses time - and the time of others - efficiently and effectively
