ABOUT THE ROLE


The Account Executive plays a pivotal role in supporting the client lead in external collaboration with the client, and internally with the client service team, communications team, creative team, and operations team to deliver results for our clients. Externally, the AE will have a supporting role, working closely with the client lead and collaborating with their assigned clients to discuss project strategy, insights, results, budget, timing and expectations. Internally, the AE will manage this information with the appropriate team members and ensure all tasks are executed within the project parameters and to the agency’s high standard of quality. Our homebase is Indianapolis, Indiana. The preference for this role is to be a local candidate or a candidate willing to relocate. There is flexibility for qualified candidates who live within a reasonable driving distance of Indianapolis.


WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO


  • Coordinate with the client lead on client communications to help determine direction, provide insight, seek clarity, maintain expectations and ensure accountability
  • Participate in and lead internal collaborative sessions, and external meetings where appropriate, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities from beginning to end
  • Lead, co-lead or participate in client meetings and presentations with agility, poise and efficiency
  • Assist with or lead completion of all project briefs, including project objective, metrics, audience, target and messaging
  • Focus on ensuring the tactical execution is aligned with the direction provided by the client and/or internal stakeholders
  • Possess an understanding of digital project characteristics and expectations, such as the process for creating websites and online ads
  • Understand basic tracking and optimization opportunities, whether it be via media campaigns or website performance, in order to shift efforts to meet metrics
  • Track client and internal budgets to ensure correct expenditure, pacing and invoicing
  • Manage change order estimation and approval, if necessary
  • Correspond with the internal media team and/or external media partners to understand the media buy�s objectives, targeting and budget breakdown
  • Promptly address all external or internal questions pertaining to a project, account or historical information
  • Assist with creative troubleshooting and project emergencies
  • Review all creative deliverables for project brief compliance, ensuring the quality of work meets agency and client expectations
  • Maintain effective, constant, open and positive communication, both written and oral, with all parties


WHAT YOU'LL NEED


  • Bachelor�s degree in communication, marketing, advertising or related field
  • 5 - 10 years of account service or high-touch customer service experience
  • Advertising agency experience preferred
  • Fortune 500 client experience
  • Management of budgets exceeding $1M
  • Familiarity with digital media terms and campaigns a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Sustain prolonged periods of being stationary at a desk and working on a computer
