Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Wire Mill Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient wire production processes. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.


Shift:


2nd Shift: 2:45 pm - 1:15 am Monday - Thursday with voluntary overtime opportunity.


Please note: Training will occur on 1st shift for approximately three (3) months before transitioning to 2nd shift!


Duties:


  • Operate Wire Mill making cored welding wire
  • Complete set-up and operation of Wire Mill. This includes tool changes, machine adjustments, quality checks, minor machine repairs, etc.
  • Calculating and recording set-up parameters on wire mill
  • Measuring with O.D. Micrometers (Metric)
  • Performing preventative maintenance on mill
  • Operating jib crane
  • Work and operate other pieces of equipment around the plant as required


Experience & Skills - Required


  • Experience with running and set-up of high volume production machines in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Very mechanically inclined
  • Ability to excel in a workplace with few employees
  • Very Reliable, self-motivated, and hard working
  • Willing to learn
  • Good communication and ability to work well with others
  • Very Detail oriented
  • High school diploma or equivalent


Experience & Skills - Desired, but not required


  • Welding Experience
  • Electric forklift experience
  • CNC Lathe experience
  • Industrial electronics experience
  • Maintenance experience
