Project ISAAC 21st CCLC Afterschool Programs
8 weekly hours must be Monday through Thursday afterschool during program hours
Maximum of 108 programmatic days (216 hours) from the start of program which must start no later than October 15th
8 hours pre-planning, plus 2 days 5 hours of pre-program training
$35/hour for certified teachers, Hourly wage will be adjusted accordingly for those not holding a professional teaching certificate
Effective for the 2025-26 school year
+ Physical education teaching certification preferred or currently enrolled in recreation leadership/physical education major
+ Experience working with elementary and / or middle school students preferred
+ Proficient knowledge of developmentally appropriate individual / team recreation activities
+ Knowledge of sports safety
+ First Aid / CPR certified or willingness to acquire these certifications
+ Willingness to link physical activity and academics
+ Good verbal and written communication skills
+ Good organizational skills
+ Develop and deliver a site-based program of guided recreation activities aligned with the West Virginia 21st CCLC / West Virginia College and Career Readiness Standards for Physical Education and Health, and evaluation data
+ Develop and deliver activities that promote flexibility, agility, endurance, health, nutrition, overall wellness, life-long sports, and team building skills through structured daily recreation activities
+ Collaborate with classroom physical education teacher to prepare students for the statewide assessment
+ Collaborate with classroom physical education teacher to collect annual assessment results
+ Maintain and submit lesson plans and activity/health logs as required
+ Maintain and submit student records for attendance and progress as required
+ Attend staff meetings and training as required
+ Assist with programs planned for family members of ISAAC students as required
+ Other duties as assigned by the Project Director or designee
