Bob's Smart Home, a division of Bob's Heating & Air Conditioning, is hiring to fill the position of Smart Home 06 Electrician.


As a team member of Bob's Heating Smart Home division and Bob’s Heating & Air Conditioning, the Smart Home 06 Electrician is a skilled and motivated professional, specializing in smart home systems. In this role, you'll install, maintain, and troubleshoot integrated home automation solutions-including lighting, climate control, security, and AV systems-for residential clients. You are: a licensed 06 Electrician with a strong foundation in residential electrical systems and a keen interest in smart home technology. You have hands-on experience installing and integrating systems such as automated lighting, thermostats, security cameras, and home entertainment setups. You are tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both hardware and software. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction are essential. A self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to thrive in this role.

Daily Duties:


  • Residential rough-in from start to finish
  • Residential trim from start to finish
  • General knowledge of networking systems
  • Ability to setup and program alarm systems
  • Loading and unloading parts, supplies and materials from company vehicles
  • Complete daily logs and timecards
  • Quality control checks to ensure no damaged product is installed
  • Clean and maintained work area, equipment and company vehicle
  • Providing on-the-job training and supervision to electrical apprentices
  • Inventory control to avoid wasting product
  • Working with tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, company policies, and state regulations.
  • Safely operate and drive a company vehicle to and from job sites, customer meetings, and appointments on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to company policies and traffic laws.


Education


  • High school education or equivalent.


Required Qualifications:


  • WA State 02 OR 06 Journeyman Electrician License
  • General knowledge of networking systems
  • Motivated self-starters who work well independently with great time management skills, communication skills and organizational skills.
  • An investigative spirit, good problem-solving skills and a passion for helping others.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to assistant installers


Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Federal, Washington State, and local codes and regulations
  • Occupational Safety and Health Act regulations and guidelines
  • Technical reading and writing; reading blueprints and schematics; reading wiring diagrams; troubleshooting methods and techniques.
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Proficient in CRM systems with a proven track record of effectively utilizing data. Manage and upload job information, including images.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Must possess exceptional organization skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently to manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills


Required Licenses or Certifications


  • Valid Washington State Driver�s License
  • Active and current Washington State 02 or 06 Electrician License
  • CPR/First Aid certified


Pre-Hire Requirements:


  • Clean background check
  • Clean drug screening
  • Valid WA driver's license and good driving record
